There should be extra points for modding a modded Gold Dollar.
The first shorty I made became that way BECAUSE I was buffing it with a Dremel and Autosol.
It's together, and it shaves. I'm about to post a secretive shave on the "Rate your shave" general shaving thread.
If anyone remembers my effort "Frank" from last time, I liked the whittled spine effect. Turns out by dabbing rather than sliding with the Dremel clone it produces an effect that I think goes well with hammered brass. I'm still not sure what to call the point : the spine ends a little bit back from the toe, but I've gone for a flat end with curves and a small barber's notch. It's a bit French, but not much and a lot of other things. "Machined" (400 grit sandpaper) finish rather than polished. Couple of homemade plastic washers inside the scales on the pivot pin, and a translucent plastic wedge.

For some reason I zoned out this morning and forgot to post it early.
Probably around an hour with an 8oz ball peen hammer (and a wooden block and lump hammer to straighten them afterward - the 1988 "Reader's Digest Driver's Atlas of the British Isles" makes a great soft anvil - though I'm not sure why there was only one Reader or Driver...).
