Thayers WH as preshave

I was in a hurry before work yesterday and in a pinch decided to use thayers as a preshave facewash. I figured since it contains aloe it would do everything I needed it to. I splashed hot water on my face then rubbed the WH in for about ten seconds. My shave was very smooth and I could feel the softness of the aloe after each pass. I might start using this stuff before and after a shave. Anyone else ever try this?

As an astringent, I can see how it would cleanse your face as a prep. But is there really enough aloe in it to provide a good glide?
