What's new

thanks for all your help

I've posted several threads as of recent concirning Georgetown Scuttles & Dirtybird Scuttles, and your responses have helped me make my decision.

A little over a year ago I had a prototype scuttle built, with an experimental special feature a "Dribble Port" which worked really great. My scuttle maker is an artist as pictures of that scuttle will attest. He has promised for a year now the fully realzed scuttle would be coming, but I fear it's not going to happen. So I've order one from Julie, a 1.5 in her new berry rim on blue, color scheme with a dribble port

To my suprise she has informed me that she has recieved requests for Dribble Ports, so it's nice to know my idea has "legs":001_rolle

here is a picture or two of that scuttle showing the dribble port and a picture of Julie's new color scheme

that new colour scheme is quite neat looking, and I remember your posting about the dribble post before, great idea.

The dribble port is situated in the far wall of your scuttle so when you mix lather it is above the waterline in the scuttle as people tend to keep the scuttle level or tipped towards them when mixing lather, with the dribble port if you were to tip the scuttle away from you , you would let a little of the hot water into the scuttle to mix into your lather thus keeping it hot and letting you control how much water your adding to your lather as you build it up or refresh it:001_rolle

Did you have Julie move your dribble hole up? I remember from an earlier post that you were concerned the hole in your prototype was too low...I'm curious what you decided with the placement as I have had a few discussions with Julie but she hadn't recieved any feedback as to where the best location for the hole is...

I sent julie the link to my original scuttle so she could see it and explained to her to make it a high as practical on the wall of the scuttle
