Thank You!!

Hi Everyone,

I am writing in a note to thank everyone who has helped me with my journey so far with wet shaving and SE shaving especially. The advice, criticism, Wikis and the forum in general has been very very helpful in discovering zen for 20 mins in the morning.

As I write this, I have been shaving with a straight razor for about 2 months. While not nick free, I have managed to get consistent BBS shaves. The blood loss has also progressively reduced. Patience and your advice have been very very instrumental towards this.

I would like to close with an anecdote :

This past week, I was travelling to my friends place for xmas. Since I didnt have any check in baggage, I was forced to abandon my straight and safety razor blades. I packed my (now never used) Gillette Fusion, Simpson Wee Scot, TOBS Rose and AS balm as part of the shaving kit. My wife chuckled when she saw that I couldn't take my favorite shaving apparatus (frankly she is a bit tired with all the expense and research I do over razors and creams). On the 25th when I shaved at my friends place with the Fusion, I hated it..it did give me a close shave but my face somehow didn't feel fresh. I dont know if the feeling was mental or actually a physical difference. However, in the evening when the 5'o clock shadow creeped in, my wife was like 'I dont like this..your stubble doesnt feel even and it feels wierd. I liked it when you shaved with the older razors'

:)

Chalk one up for classic wet shaving. So once again thank you very much.

Best,
PK.

Expect much fewer objections to future acquisitions, especially since you're doing it for her :biggrin1:

My wife made a comment about how she likes my DE face better than my straight face, but I was only 3 weeks or so into straight shaving.
