Tech positive ID help needed!

Got this razor NOS from the bay. The outer and inner boxes give no indicator of patent/production dates. The razor head doesn't have a date code, which I think places it around '38-'45. I remove the little cardboard insert that was on the razor head. The blades that came with it were sealed, and they are K2 (1940).

Any ideas?

That is the model I shaved with today. If your plan is to get it wet, then you are in for a treat.

If you plan to keep it dry, you've got a nice "looker" to put on the shelf.

Either way congrats!!

No matter what razor I use, my pre-war Tech is at the ready to clean up any spots that may have been missed or, it is often the first one I grab for a fast close comfortable shave. In fact, I just picked up another one on the BST for back up and travel. I love them all but this one is a reliable constant performer. ENJOY!!

Are you going to use it? ................. And thank you for serving in military Pack.

Hi,

I shave with one of these every day. Oh, these days it is on the second pass and I use a few other razors for first pass. Mine was the razor Dad handed me in 76 when I started shaving. So, I have been using it a long time. :thumbup1:

It only seems right to use it for what it was designed to do, I think.

So, question for the group: does anyone collect NOS razors and not use them?

PS: thanks; just happy to be home with family for a change. I see why people like the concept. :biggrin1:

So you don't have to feel guilty about it, it's very doubtful it's truley NOS. It's beautiful and in amazing condition, but the blade pack's been opened, and I'd say it's been used, probably just once from the look of it.

Excellent find!

Oh, I should have fixed the typo in the OP; I opened the blade pack myself. The cellophane was typical of period stuff, and the blade pack showed no signs of tampering. I opened it to look at a blade for dating purposes.

I'm using it in a few minutes!
