T&H UC tub comment

Oddest thing, I'm vacationing in London and noticed that T&H Ultimate Comfort shave cream is sold in the traditional type tubs as their other creams, with the T&H raised lettering on the bottom side.

In North America, from what I gather from a recent review posted, the tubs are glossy semi-transparent.

When I asked about this, I was told that the Uk operation at times opt to use different packaging, although the actual UC cream is produced in good old Chicago, Il, USA.

In actuality, most of the UC line is USA based, while the traditional line remains Made in England.

If the quality of the cream is exactly the same in the USA and in Europe, as I suppose it is, and the only difference is the "look" of the tubs, I wouldn't worry too much.
What really counts for me is what is IN the tubs and not their aesthetic aspect.
That said, the Ultimate Comfort is a TERRIFIC shaving cream.
The best in the T&H line and one of the best on the market.

Marco, I'm curious, I know T&H UC and ADP are two different animals, but which do you prefer and why?

After my review on "Acqua di Parma, Collezione Barbiere", I received MANY private messages from B&B members, who asked me opinions on the cream itself, on what lathering technique I use for it and even on which cologne I use after shaving with AdP...
That said, here is your answer.
Yes, T&H UC and AdP are two different animals.
Some beginners may prefer the Ultimate Comfort simply because it is much easier to lather up.
The UC, in fact, gives a fabulous, thick lather for a great, close shave with no effort at all.
AdP is much denser and less forgiving on the water/cream mix, so a good lathering method is requested and several attempts could be necessary to a beginner to get a proper lather.
That aside, these two gems perform both equally well, in my opinion.
I have both, use both and love both.
However, if I should choose between the UC and AdP, I would certainly choose AdP.
Why?
Acqua di Parma is Acqua di Pama: unique, luxurious, top-notch.
Or, if you prefer, Acqua di Parma is the best expression of high refinment, of trusted quality and of timeless elegance.
