T&H Luxury shaving soap...

Yes a very soft subtle lavender.

(Don't compare the scent intensity to a glycerin based soap.)

This is a real sleeper soap, not talked about much but a real gem,one of the very few non Tallow soaps in the Tallow centric shave shack here at Casa del Goose.

Pretty much my opinion too. A really undervalued soap that lathers and shaves at least as well as anything else I have use (and usually better). The scent is subtle but it is very pleasant, and I actually smell it occasionally during the rest of the morning when I use this soap, which is nice.

I am terrible at describing scents but I would describe the scent of it as a relatively spicy lavender, as opposed to the fairly soapy scent of DR Harris lavender (I like them both though). It is also worth mentioning, as Jim did, that this is a vegetarian soap which may be important to some people. It isn't important to me, but it does show you can get a great shave without tallow.

I hope that if you do decide to get this soap you enjoy using it.

PS. The little soap bowl that T&H sell does make it more expensive, but I think it is well made, practical and very nice to look at (like me:biggrin:, just kidding)

I sold mine but that was just because my skin was a little sensitive to one of the ingredients. As soap it is true winner. Smells great and makes mountains of moist, creamy lather.

It does have a scent, and what that is will depend on your nose. There are lavender notes in it, but it isn't a pure lavender. There's are some more pungent, citrus-type notes in it, as well. It's an excellent soap, and I'm OK with the scent, but I've never been drawn to the soap because of its scent, if that makes any sense.

I agree with all the comments above. It's quite a subtle scent that is mostly lavender but it has a little something else to it. I personally like the scent a bit more than lavender by itself - you can get it without the bowl as well if you want to save a bit of money.

Ok im fine with the scent, how does lathering it compare to Harris, Trumpers Rose & Blenheim soaps?.

Thanks again

Haven't tried the Blenheim. I would rank the T&H just below the Trumper rose, and just above the Harris, although I suspect I'm in the minority. Suffice it to say that all three are excellent soaps.

I believe Culmak is the exact same soap as T&H - I have a puck and can't tell the two apart. It lathers great and costs way less.

One of the few veggie soaps I think compares well to the tallow ones.
