Did not place this in the "soap" forum because it is not soap ! the eltron "shave stick" is a beard prep made to set up the whiskers before an electric (!!!) shave...it was $6 at the local barber supply for 2.2 ozs. ,so I gave it a shot.I usually wash my face thoroughly two times with soap and hot water before I hit it with lather,this time I rubbed the prep stick all over my face before I started in with the flare tip and a medical personna...psychosomatic ? I don't know,but I could swear it tweeked the shave in my favor..the glide felt different,not alum different,but different...and the scent ? oh baby ! the swiss loaded up on this thing ! no baby soft aroma here,a big strong scent of spanish leather mixed with sandalwood and spice ...why don't they make a shave "real"stick or a cream like this ? answer is easy,eltron sells all kinds of electric shavers !

Did you use a normal cream/soap or did you only use the "not shave stick" for lubrication?

Before I lathered up with brush and cream,I washed and rinsed my face twice,then ran the stick all over my face ,after that I lathered my face,seems like the stick increased the glide of the blade....probably would be good for guys with sensitive skin or ingrown hair problems...as you see on the label,it can also be used as an aftershave ! it's almost powdery in consistency...
