I know what you're thinking: what the hell? This is AXE he's talking about. There's nothing sophisticated about AXE. But I've been using this stuff for months now, and I'll tell you why I love it:
1.) The menthol kick.
This is as cold as regular shower gels get - which means it isn't up there with some artisan peppermint / menthol soaps, but it's definitely cool enough to give you the chills.
2.) The scent.
Ususally the worst part of AXE products, but this time they really nailed it. It's a subtle, green spearmint / menthol fragrance that smells much more distinguished than you'd expect. I keep thinking about summer hay in ice-cold water - sounds weird, but how I'd describe the scent.
3.) The Proraso / Osage Rub compatibility.
I always use this stuff when going for the full menthol shave, and it turns out to be a perfect match.
