Superbowl

The San Fransisco 49ers will be squaring off against the Baltimore Ravens. I see the 49ers are a 4 1/2 point favorite in todays newspaper.

So who are you rooting for?

And what is your prediction on what the final score will be?

My prediction is that we will be inundated with stories about the head coaches for the next two weeks.

I think the Niners have the edge in offense, as Kaepernick can run or pass extremely well. I give the Ravens the edge on defense, those guys are killers (or maybe just one of them is). I don't really have a dog in the fight; as my handle suggests, I am a devout Packers fan.

I have no dog in the fight as I am a green-blooded Eagles fan, but I'd like to see the Ravens win as I have many friends in Charm City and I am a big fan of The Wire.

Also I will be in the Keys watching the game so no matter what, I win!

I am rooting for the Ravens (Mom is from Baltimore) and I think they will win. They remind me of the Giants of last year or the Packers the year that the Packers won it - a team that was mediocre and left for dead in the regular season, but got hot at the right time and has a lot of momentum. They've beaten Manning and Brady in consecutive weeks (and the "Chuck Strong" Colts before that) and they've picked it up since Ray Lewis announced his retirement.

I think the 49'ers are the more talented team all around, but that often doesn't mean anything.

the Niners, only for David Akers. May he get a ring that he so richly desreves to cap his career.
I have no rooting interest otherwise.

The Ravens will forfeit their place in the game due to ongoing Harbaugh family issues about who should get a ring first. The Steelers will sweep in as the overwhelmingly fan voted in substitute team and beat the 49's 27-0.

Wait. What? Ray Lewis is retiring? How come there's been nothing in the media about this?????

rockviper

I got moves like Jagger
3-2, with the winning goal being scored shorthanded on a penalty shot in overtime.
(My Giants are out so the game is just an excuse to drink guinness eat chips on the counch for the afternoon)

Best Ray Lewis story:

After the game on Sunday, when Ray was getting all really REALLY emotional and praying on his hands and knees at midfield, I had the following text conversation with my Mother:

Mom: What was that guy doing?

Me: Praying.

Mom: Really? I thought he was looking for something underground.

Me: Are you joking?

Mom: No. Seriously.

Pretty good, I thought.

I think that the 49ers will win 27-17. I am a Steelers fan, so seeing the ravens win would be like being stabbed through the heart!

I predict, nay, I guarantee that J. Harbaugh will be the winning coach!

Born in SF, so I'm rooting for Jim not John.

I'm pulling for the Ravens to win. I want to see Ray Lewis go out with a Superbowl Win. And I'm a Seahawks season ticket holder, so I don't care for the 49ers.

Score predicton Ravens 24 49ers 20

This is the last matchup I wanted. Not because I have anything against the teams, but because the last Harbaugh v. Harbaugh matchup was boring. I fear the Superbowl will be boring too.

I must be spending too much time here. My first thought when I saw this thread was ooh a new scuttle.

Pretty good indeed!

What can I say its a beautiful time to be a 49ers fan, we sent the old old man Gonzalez packing without a ring and we will do the same when it comes to Ray . Although I respect what he has done for the game.Out with the old in with the new . Patrick Willis will be taking his spot, he may not bring the spirit that Ray had but hes got the smarts and speed to be the best overall. This is a start to a new dynasty. The san francisco 49ers will take it 30 to 27.GO NINERS!!!! GOLD BLOODED BABY!!!!!!!

San Francisco the city of champion'$
