Suggestion for Next Brush

Folks,

I've been using a Simpson's CL2 in Best Badger and like it very much. I mostly face lather with hard soap, but the CL2 has been able to do most everything well. I picked up a Simpson's Major in Super Badger for travel and the stiffer hair feels quite nice.

So, if I were looking for a brush with a similar density to the 24x44 knot of the CL2 with a super badger, two-band, or other stiffer hair, what would you suggest? The brush does not need to be a Simpson's. The Chubby 1 in Super Badger at 23x46 would seem to be close.

Semogue owners club super badger. An excelent brush for the money.

If you are looking for something in 2-band you probably won't need as much density to achieve the backbone you desire. I would go with a Rooney Heritage Emillion Size 2 in 2-band. I have the M&F version and it is absolutely the perfect brush for me and I face lather exclusively, mostly with soaps.

My target budget would be in the range of a Simpson's Super or 2-band or a similar Rooney. Not in the market for a Plisson with an unobtainium handle.

Nick, I'd actually looked at the Rooney St Emillion 2-2 so maybe time to revisit that one.
