Suggest a good, moderately soft, face-scrubbing knot and loft

I'm going to be getting a vintage Century and I will be replacing the knot. I am anticipating that the hole will be 20-21mm. I would like to make this one into a real face-scrubber, but the knot must be moderately soft, and give up the lather for a 2-3 pass shave. I face lather from shave sticks, so the knot and loft must be good at making the lather on the face. With all this, I really want to be able to push the brush hard against my trouble spots without chewing up my face (I have thick whiskers, but sensitive skin).

I am looking for suggestions on knot type and loft to accomplish these objectives.

IMO, a 20mm TGN Finest set at 48mm, or the 20mm TGN Grade A silvertip set at 45 would work great.

TGN finest. I have a 20mm set fairly high in an everready 500pb, and it is one of my favorites.

While mine are 24mm, the 48mm loft finest is a great knot for face lather, soft but with good backbone, and very good flow through

I put a TGN 22mm Finest XH fan set at 50mm in an Every-Ready R40 that I believe would meet your specifications. Good luck whatever you decide.
