Stretching caiman boots

Hey everyone, I have a pair of Anderson Bean square toe boots in caimen belly that I'm having problems with. I cant get them to break in over the top of my foot, This is where i normally have problems with boots but these are just not giving in. So does anyone have some tips beside just tough it out, because ive tried and even my elephants didnt hurt this bad haha.

Have you tried wetting them in the problem area then wearing them until dry? If that doesn't work take them to a cobbler and they'll be able to stretch them a bit.

I got some shoe stretcher kit on amazon for the Frye Caimans I bought online that were a wee too narrow. It was a liquid and some little stretcher deals. Worked pretty good. Might be the shoe stretcher spray would soften that up some.

I thought about wetting these just wasn't sure about it since I've never had caimen boots before. Ill try that next time I bust them out of the closet.

I have the same dilemma.
I finally received my Black Jack Caiman belly square tipped boots. It took them five tries on a custom order to get them narrow enough to fit me without excessive slip. Problem now is they are a wee bit tight across the ball of my feet. I had the outfit where I purchased them from try and stretch them but it was a quick attempt. They used steam on a professional metal stretcher, inserted and tightened up the handle to expand the toe box. Since I was waiting to take them with me, they only left them in the boots for about 30 minutes. It helped some but not enough. They did apply a liberal amount of a high quality leather dressing on
inside and outside of the boot.

I have read other places that you can use a very liberal amount of saddle soap inside and out or a mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol, 50/50 and soak the leather with that. The key is to make sure the leather is supple enough to stretch and then to stretch it slowly over an extended period of time, like overnight.

I bought a cowboy boot stretcher off of Amazon and will be using it with the saddle soap and probably combine it with water alcohol mix. There were several types and quality levels and I bought a mid level single stretcher for increasing the width of the toe box . I will try to break the vamps in by wearing them as that area was not excessively tight. The stretcher is supposed to be here later this week. I will post the results once I get the stretcher.
