SR 3824 first impressions

Hello all,

I will preface by saying my only brush experience so far has been the cheap boar that comes with the $10 walmart kit.

I will first start by saying I was a little surprised by the size of the brush. I can't see myself using anything smaller for certain. I'll be getting every penny out of this brush as I just paid good money for it, but I can say for now my next purchase will be a larger knot.

Secondly, the 'point' feeling of the bulb shape is definitely evident in this brush. Seeing as this brush is known for its extreme softness, I can only gather that I may enjoy a fan shape brush.

Lastly I am blown away by how this brush whips up lather! amazing! I will use this brush as a bowl latherer for now as I wait for the break in period to end. However, I may look for a face lather alternative at some point just to get some variety/ formulate a great 1-2 punch of brushes.

I won't bother to 'rate' this brush or provide any other feedback other than initial impressions. I look forward to years of shaving with this brush. Pictures to follow soon!

One of my favorites. I thought only densely packed knots were for me until I tried this brush. It made me appreciate a nicely shaped bulb with soft tips and great flow through. I can use it with anything from creams to hard soaps, but I like it best for the creams and soft soaps. I've got a few two band badgers that I will use with the hard soaps, as they have a bit more backbone.

Great handle as well.

Enjoy!

Ben
