Springfield was smart enough to put a fully supported match grade barrel in it, so an aftermarket purchase to get one isn't neccessary.
 
Weren't there reports of ssues with the Springfield 10mm? I do want a 10mm and didn't realize ruger had them too. Another gun to my list lol.m Never been a 1911 guy but always heard great stuff about the trp line.

I've always been of the mind that if 10MM in a 1911 is what you want the Springfield Omega (RIP) and the Colt Delta Elite (Gold Cup please. I was sick when my father sold his stainless version) were the way to go as they were beefed up for the task. "IF" I remember correctly the Omega had dual extractors, a linkless barrel, and no barrel bushing. I think the barrel was compensated as well...
