Speick Face Lather - color me impressed

This morning, I was in a bit of a rush. I thought i would quickly lather up speick in the palm of my hand and than do one quick pass in the shower. I usually use an old spice mug and vdh brush in the shower.

I start to try and build a lather using my fingers and palm and lay out the cream on my face. It's not working at all. I am really upset and mad because I only have a sample of speick. So i grab the bush and just stick it under the hot water in the shower, and put it on my face. All this excess water start to wash of the speick i have, more frustration.

I ring out the brush with my hand and try again, hoping i dont have to start over. Low and behold, within less than 30 seconds i have a face full of the thickest cream I've ever made (I've only been using the brush and mug for the last 3 weeks using proraso, tobs eton college, and now speick). It was very impressive. A lot quicker than using the mug.

What do you regular face lathers do for a second or third pass? does the brush go back to the face after the first pass?

Yes. You may or may not need to recharge the brush with cream/soap between passes.

Speick is 'da bomb, however. Very good SC.

I just got a tube of Speick. It's only my second cream (other being TOBS Avocado). Speick is great, and I love the scent!

I face lather it as well. I find that I'm able to build enough lather for 3+ passes with touch-up. I didn't have to recharge the brush, but if you do, there's no shame in that. I have to do that with some of my soaps.

Does anyone buy this cream online in the U.S? If so, from whom do you get it?

Thanks gents.

Some places who carry it (web search "speick shaving cream"):

West Coast Shaving
Shaving Essentials
BullGoose
Beauty Habit
Smallflower

Get the A/S splash to go with it. :w00t:

for those new to speick. it's outstanding...but i find it does take a bit more brush work before the lather sets up and becomes really thick and comfortable. if you've been unimpressed with the lather, keep working it for a bit longer than you normally do, and i think you'll find it thickens and sets up into a fantastic and mild cream!
