Took a crack at face lathering today.

Great shave--only about 12 hours after the last--though the PdP balm doesn't want to work with witch hazel-based AS like Speick. Don't usually rinse off AS, but the PdP seems to require that you do.

Pre-Shave: Proraso Crema Pre Barba
Shave Soap/Mug: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
Brush: Semogue Boar 1460
ASB: Nivea Replenishing
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
Results: Very Good. However, I will probably take the little Torrey back to the 8K and finish again on the C12K. It's just not quite there yet. This was an E-Bay find and needed some pretty heavy clean-up and resetting the bevel. I was in a hurry and probably shorted the process. The edge is good but "no cigar" so to speak!

Did a test shave today of a few razors I've received recently. Not the best shave I've had but it was acceptable. Today's shave showed me two things. 1, I still need to work on developing my honing skills more and 2, I'm getting there!
