This is absolutely, hands down one of the most beautiful (and clean) DEs that I have seen . I LOVE it. How did you acquire it (and the blades)? I don't think they are all too common these days (or am I wrong)? I am not much into DE these days, but with something like this, I think I can definitely put it in my rotation

Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby #2", 3-band Super Badger
Razor: 7/8" Solingen Stainless, 1/4 Hollow, Round Point
Strop: 60/75 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Creme + Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
Cologne: Acca Kappa "1869" EdC
Results: An excellent shave for this beautiful Monday morning. The Solingnen Stainless delivered a lovely and smooth shave. It took a few tries, but I believe that I have finally dialed-in the honing regimen for this blade (from last time...no touch up needed, just stropping). She still kept her wonderfully sharp edge from last time I honed her. And the Acca Kappa SC/SS combo provided my skin with the wonderfully thick and moist lather that I have come to expect from my cremes/soaps. A spectacular and irritation free shave

Todays straight popped head hairs at the toe, but not the heel. I didn't have much time so I shaved anyway... Not the perfect shave I'm used to. Went back to the La Veinette with a light slurry and about ten dilutions. Finished one set of half strokes, and 100 X strokes on La Grosse Blanche. It now pops hairs anywhere along the edge. We'll give it the acid test in tomorrow's shave, but it looks much better.
