I keep on enjoying shaving with Nantahala. The soap is extremely slick and eventhough I had to get used to the pine-apple scent, it really starts to grow on me 😉😊. Lovely way to start my morning 😊

SvdD : 19-03-2020
Razor : Rex – Ambassador
Blade : Treet – Platinum (3)

Soap Suezbana Aloe Vera
Bowl Timeless
Brush Yaqi 24mm Purple Mink
Razor Feather Popular
Blade Feather 8th
Postshave
Ice water
Thayers Cucumber Special Mix
Gatsby Splash
Put the soap puck into the bowl and load. Then removed and rinse the puck and air dry. Continue and built into a great lather. No scent but thick and slick lather result. Shave with razor and blade was good but perhaps it's time to ditch the blade. Even though feels smooth and sharp and razor is mild but feels some irritation from the 3+pass ATG, XTG/ATG, ATG & a pickup. Unexpected weepers plus irritation. DFS result with rating of 9/10

GEMonday Mar 30th 2020, Good morning all. I had to take my Gem jr bar out of the rack for a great shave. The performance of the razor is to my liking for the simple reason it gives me a great shave. I very rarely get cuts with no irritation and no weepers as a rule of thumb and my skin enjoys the results. What is there not to like!

Razor : Gem junior bar - MFG 1907- excellent razor for a daily driver.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (10)
Soap: Taylor of old bond street Sandal wood. One of my favorite scented soaps.
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm synthetic with black marble handle. Excellent brush!
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Prorazo red Sandal wood with witch hazel + Nivea balm
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = :a17: Great shave today!

Have some great shaves!

Parker Variant razor
Dorco ST300 blade (1)
Meissner Tremonia Black Beer No. 1 soap
Whipped Dog high mountain badger brush
Timeless Razor lather bowl
Osma alum block
Nivea Sensitive aftershave balm
Haven't decided on a fragrance yet

First ever use of this blade, and it was a super smooth shave. More confirmation why I love this razor too. Then the soap helped provide a lather that was slick and plentiful. Such a great shave this morning.

Razor - Razorock Old Type
Blade - Voskhod
Brush - Morris & Forndran Style 1 26mm 2-band finest badger fan
Soap - Rocky Mountain Barber Company Cedar Spice
A/S - Brickell unscented balm

Less than 24 hours' growth, so I went with a somewhat gentle razor in the Old Type. The Voskhod surprised me again; between razor and blade I ended up with a very close shave. The Old Type is a really fun razor to use; very user friendly, little blade feel, easy angle. I used the brush in the bowl today, but face feel is getting better, some mild scritch left but I don't mind that. The soap gave a pretty nice lather, with nice soft peaks and some shine to it. Scent is great, like XXX or Seville but more cinnamon, primary slickness is good, some residual and post-shave is OK. My skin has a reaction to the cinnamon I think so I get redness afterwards, but it's not uncomfortable and it fades. My face feels great, really smooth close shave, complexion is awesome. Great shave to start the work week.
