Super excited about this brush! Exactly what I was looking for. Has more fibers than the Razorock Plissoft (by the way, also a marvelous brush!), is soft, great backbone and holds water just like a badger brush due to the new technique that’s been used. Love this one! 😊

Ghost Town Barber Summer Storm today. 20 seconds to load the RazoRock/Zenith Chubby Extra Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Blue Super Platinum still in the vintage Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Clubman Whiskey Woods aftershave.

Razor: Viking Chieftain TTO (1st shave with it)
Prep: Liquid hand face soap
Brush: Omega 11126
Blade: Viking Mild
Soap: Van der Hagen
A/S : Pinaud Clubman
Rating: 10.0+ I can't believe the shave quality this razor and blade combination yielded. The heft of the razor makes WTG passes a breeze. XTG passes for the neck and under my jaw are nice. I heartily recommend this razor and blade combination to all, however the YMMV caveat applies.
Monday, 2/10:

Razor - Rex Ambassador
Blade - Astra SP
Brush - Maker Brush No 6 24mm silvertip
Soap - Gillette Pure
A/S - Proraso Blue

Oh wow, this shave was *fantastic*. I can't stop saying good things about the Rex. I swapped out the Shark I'd been using out for an Astra SP, and wow, I thought it was smooth before? Oh man was I just cruising with this. Setting 3 for the first pass, then down to about 2.25 for the second seems to be about perfect for me. So comfortable, so smooth, just ridiculous. And it was definitely made possible by the surprise of the shave: Gillette Pure cream. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting too much, but this cream actually makes a very nice lather. Thick, creamy, actually some shine to it, slickness/residual is excellent. The scent is decent, sort of a standard big-company-men's-grooming-products scent, but it's nice. Today's shave was super close, the razor was very efficient, and my face was glass-smooth and comfortable afterwards with no redness. Just an awesome shave.
