Some macros taken with non macro lenses

Here are some old shots to share that I took with a variety of macro accessories on the normal non macro lenses

( eventually in the end i did get a dedicated macro lens to save the hassle )

With extension tube and a +10 dioptre close up filter

Thanks guys. It was a Nikon D80 with an off-shoe SB800 diffused.

The second one was actually a dead bee dangling on a cobweb ( which was not seen clearly ) an accessory SBR200 placed from beneath the leaf to illuminate the veins.

Thanks JerimiahC for the link! I am a member in a few photo forums online. Will check it out!

With only close up filters ( Canon 500D on a 70-200 zoom )

* Of course a dedicated macro lens gives the least hassle and better image quality. U can add extension tubes or good close up filters onto macro lenses as well to gain further magnification

The reverse nikon 50 shots show little depth. Just learning a little about photography, so it's interesting to see what different techniques can do.

Those bugs are scary. Love the pictures.
