SOC from VintageScent

Hey everyone, Since i started wet shaving a year ago, the only brush ive every used or owned is a nice silver tipped thaeter. Today i finally decided its time to go to the opposite end of the spectrum and order an SOC from VintageScent( from EU ) but i live in the US. Anybody ever order from them to the US and have an ETA on shipping? I read somewhere it was a long while but it is about 15-20$ cheaper so i figured it would be worth the wait. Thanks in advance for any responses. Also, any tips on how to break it in or if i should wash it out a bunch before first use is also appreciated.

Its slow, but worth it. My last order took a couple of weeks to arrive and that was faster than the previous one. Bruno offers top notch service though and the prices are undeniably unbeatable.

I actually ordered from them several years ago, they were the only place that had horsehair brushes. IIRC, it took forever, meaning weeks and weeks, for the delivery to appear on my doorstep. If you don't mind a long wait, go for it. Me, I'd spend the extra money and order from Bullgoose- he does a fantastic job and his delivery times are so fast it's scary. Good luck!

Well, It was a gift from my GF, she said she didn't care about price but I try to keep things low. It is all ordered and I will probably try an forget about it and be extremely happy when I get a surprise at my doorstep in a couple of weeks.

My experience has been that it takes a couple of weeks, door to door.

Re: break-in: I give badger brushes one test lather/rinse. After that, I just use 'em.

That's where I got mine. I hit the sale around Black Friday last year. It took a good while to arrive but it was the best deal around.

VAT Tax is only applied to items being shipped to EU. As im in US all i had to pay on top of the price was like 2 Euros shipping. All and All it cost me 29USD and change shipped. Great bargin and imo worth the wait.

"We charge VAT (23%) on top of the prices shown if the destination country also belongs to the EU. All other countries are exempt from this tax"

both my orders took about 2 weeks to get to me once bruno shipped the order (which was within a day or two of me placing the order in both instances)

I can't say anything about shipping to the US, but I've bought all my Semogue brushes (six of them) from Vintage Scent and service has always been excellent - however long it takes the various postal services, Vintage Scent do at least get things in the post very quickly.

Same price shipped from www.shaving.ie with great service and quick shipping. One of my 'go to" purveyors!
