Lather was good, and slickness not too bad. The scent was a little different than the aftershave I used , but they are two different names. Great scent on both.

Black tie Casino Royale. Lather was great. Slowly added water until it was nice and slick. Surprised me as I was expecting less for some reason.

Just finished up sampling another box (unsure of the number). Sampled a total of 6 soaps from the box (pictured). Forgot to take lather pics of all the soaps unfortunately, but I'll piece it together as much as I can.

The first soap I used was Black Tie (now Sir Henry's) Casino Royale. The scent is awesome. I wasn't expecting much performance from the soap for some reason, maybe because I've never heard of it. I was wrong! This was the best performing soap of the batch. The lather was super dense, creamy, and slick. Effortlessly looked like very wet sour cream. Wish I would have taken some pictures. It was a pheonominal shave.

Next I used Oleo Irving Park. The scent is pheonominal and the performance is as expected from Oleo's cannard base. I actually picked up a tub shortly after using this soap.

Oleo Excursion was the same in regards to performance, I just did not like the scent as much.

Lisa's premium Coconut Oud is a very sweet scent, that performed well. It didn't blow me out of the water, but offered a good shave. The scent is too sweet to use everyday for me, but was nice to try.

WSP black orchid smelled good but the performance did not impress me. I've owned full tubs of WSP in the past and ended up selling them due to irritation. This scent did not irritate my skin, but it lacked slickness.

Lastly, Soap Commander "Courage". This soap offered a very good shave. The scent was good, cologne like, and something I could use every day. The lather wasn't the best in this group in regards to slickness, but it was good enough for me to consider buying. Easy to whip up a dense creamy lather. Hard to judge post shave on any of these as I usually use ZM balm as a post shave, which fills any gaps left behind by the soap.

Onto the third box in my possession. First soap I used is Caties Bubbles "Le Marche du Rasage". This was the only scent that I liked out of the caties bubbles bag, so I went ahead and placed it aside. Smeared a small amount in the bowl and loaded with a damp brush for 30 seconds. The soap took a fair amount of water and became nice and slick. Shave was uneventful. Post shave seemed slightly lacking compared to some of my higher end tallow based soaps, but was still pleasant to use. The scent was light off the sample and remained that way throughout the shave. Possibly because this is an older sample, or it could be normal for this soap.

Touched back in the Grooming Dept box because I was irritated that I couldn't get a good lather with the soap. Started with a squeezed and lightly wrung out brush this time to get as dry a load as possible. Before it seemed my lather was always always super airy and broken down. Was able to get a thick paste like load and slowly add water to develop a slick creamy lather. This must be the GD people rave about! Awesome shave with great post shave.

The next soap I tried was Viking Soap Old Norse. This one smelled great and also lathered very nicely. Halfway through my first pass I started to get some irritation. Nothing terrible but a slight burn. Looked up the ingredients after and noticed lanolin, which I'm sensitive to. Still gave a great shave, but unfortunately I won't be using again. But if you're not sensitive to lanolin, its a great performing soap and it looks to be well priced.
