Soap making me spit?

It's weird, but I regularly get the urge to spit during my shaves. It's like the sweet aroma of the soap (or perhaps its proximity to my lips) is making me salivate, and every couple minutes I have to spit.

Not a big deal, but I just wondered if others have the same experience.

Did you confuse the Tabac with tobacco?
;). Honestly though I can't say I noticed this.

Hasn't happened to me. Maybe its because your mouth is tightly shut? Teeth clenched? Maybe some one else has more on this.

This happened to me when I would get lather on my lips or the corners of my mouth. I'm sure some of it is getting in your mouth. Press your lips together when lathering so this doesn't happen.

There is a strong connection between the sense of smell and the sense of taste.
Could be you have a strong connection between the two.
Perhaps it's just the scent of a particular soap? Or is it any soap?
Do you seem to have a similar reaction with After Shaves or Colognes?
What soap(s) is it that it seems to be the most pronounced?

I've had it happen with Col Conk and with Tabac. I think I probably am getting some on my lips and/or the corners of my mouth. I do love the smell of that Col Conk Bay Rum:w00t:
I'm not as crazy about Tabac's smell (yet), but it still makes me have to spit

It's true, most llamas don't shave. I'm just glad nobody mistook me for a camel.

I had that issue on occassion before growing my moustache back, as I would just sweep over my lips, and if the lips were not clenched tight enough, some soap might get 'tasted' before I wipe it away from the lips.
I have had worse 'soap in my mouth' as a kid... thanks mom :wink2:
