Very tempting got the SS windsor pro SB90 but never tried an alu DE, would you rate the efficiency as equal ?

The AL Windsor Pro is my daily driver. I did switch to a milder base plate. While I prefer the SB90 plate it was a touch to aggressive for frequent use. You can always take advantage of our 90 day test drive.

I meant not the protrusion of the blade from under the cap,but the exposure of the cutting edge

The blade gap on the AL Windsor Pro is .9 mm

The only measurements we deal with are

Blade gap - referred to the distance between the safety bar and the edge of the blade. (The one in question is .9mm)

Blade exposure - the amount of the blade cutting edge your skin is exposed to. (The one is question is 2mm)

We do not measure the cutting angle or shave plane of the razor. The Windsor Pro does have a slightly positive blade exposure.
