What's new

So excited ... Simpsons Colonel being delivered today!

Started wetshaving back in April with a Tweezerman, upgraded a month later to a Semogue 1305 and gave the Tweezerman away. So thought I was a boar person but after reading about Simpsons I got the bug in me a couple weeks ago and decided to clear out my extra razors and ordered up a Simpsons Colonel on Monday. It was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but check my tracking today and..

I'm entirely too excited to open up the box when I get home! Certainly never thought I'd drop $60 on a brush when I got started, and understand why someone would drop the money on say a Chubby or something similar.

Now to just hope SWMBO doesn't ask any questions on this purchase (but honey i cleared out a bunch of stuff to get it, basically didn't cost me anything!)

SWMBO will probably give me multiple eye rolls but I want to photograph the whole process.. wonder if i should dig out the DSLR when i do!

It's delivered! Two hours until I get home, and i've got to cook dinner, do i wait until 8 o'clock when the kids are in bed? Could I wait that long? Ahhhhh!

Heheh, usually i'll open packages on the front porch and dispose of boxes before coming in, if the wife/kids hadn't gotten the mail yet.

I have a PO Box and my packages are opened right then and there. I'm always fascinated by peoples' responses, "My dad had one of those" or "I think I have one just like that in my garage."

congrats on the new brush! you're in for a treat. the colonel is the only brush I have (only one that is needed). enjoy, and be sure to post your experience with it!

The Colonel is a great brush. Mine took 2 weeks of every day use to break in and lather it's best though so if you are underwhelmed at first, keep at it.

Only on B&B could one post photos of a box being opened and everyone would be excited. :biggrin1:

Congratulations on a great brush. After a few uses, you'll find it to be light years ahead of your Tweezerman.
