Skin Bracer dries face?

Anyone else have this issue? I LOVE Skin Bracer, and also the Vijon Brisk, but it seems like it dries out my face? Or maybe I just have lots of sucky shaves? Would the addition of glycerin fix this or am I just crazy?

Glycerin would enhance it, yes. About a drop per ounce of AS will do it. They already contain propylene glycol which is a cheaper substitute for glycerin, but consequently, doesn't work as well. Have you used other aftershave splashes? Do they all dry out your face? Could be that you are sensitive to the alcohol content or having a reaction to the menthol.

Alcohol based AS dries my face out too.
That's the main reason I don't use them.

I suppose some are more drying than others.

You could also try a drop of Witch Hazel.

I have MANY aftershaves, and this is the one that does it for me, the dryness. I'll look out for some of these additives.
