What's new

Since Guido's back....

AG, missed your posts the last week and a half or so .

Since you're back around, wondering if you've ever heard/seen anything about the VIC company out of New York? See this thread for pics, cool old SE (got to be reasonably unknown, several others I thought might have a little on it don't).

And welcome back!

Sorry. I have had a lot going on. First a tornado hit our nieghborhood so even though our house was spared there was still cleanup, power loss, traffic and such. Then my younger son's high school team made the playoffs so we traveled to the game. It happened to be in New Orleans where our older son swims for the University of New Orleans so we visited him while we were there. Then I came down with a nasty cold which kicked my butt for several days. Fit in amongst all that keeping up with my beloved New Orleans Saints and dealing with the company I work for somewhat going out of business and I haven't had much time to step in as much as usual.

Wow, you HAVE had a lot going on! I've had the cold too, but been spared the rest of the bad stuff (glad to hear there was some good stuff in there too!).

Oh yes...the ol' tornado excuse....we use that one all the time up here in OKC. :001_rolle

Seriously, glad it missed you. :wink2:

So were we. One block away got much more damage and another block over from that got it bad. Talk about a helpless feeling at work when I got a weather alert on my blackberry that said a tornado was spotted at the location of our neighborhood. My son was at home and there was no way to contact him. I work about 12 minutes from home and it took almost two hours to get home. All power, phones and cell coverage was knocked out. The main road was block by firetrucks fighting a fire in the townhouses at one of our entrances. Very scary.

Well G,

Glad to hear you and your family are safe and you had a little luck with the tornado. They are amazing natural terror at its scariest. Sounds like you had you hands full.

Hope you enjoyed the other events other then being sick. Glad to have you back.

Sorry to learn of your troubles Guido, but glad that you and yours are OK.

Sounds like our May, chainsaws are still running around here.

Best to ya Guido, I always enjoy your knowledgeable posts.

Hey Guido,

Glad to hear you're okay. Coming through a tornado in your neighborhood with no damage and all your family is safe and sound - much to be thankful for. Take care!

ICK....all kidding aside, just very glad you and yours came out safe.
I was at the edge of the May 3rd twister up here, not to mention a few other close calls.
NOT FUN.

And they say an F6 doesn't exist....

Guido, I'm glad you and your family are okay. Tornadoes.... Sheeeeesh! It's not bad enough that Mother Nature brings hurricanes close to your area! Always let us know, if possible, if there's any way we can help.
