Simpson Pure

With the recent flurry of two-band hair available from Simpson, we have discussed the comparsions between Best, Super and Two-Band offered by Simpson. How about Simpson Pure Badger brushes? I have never owned one. Who has them, which model and what do you think of the Simpson Pure Badger brushes?

I have a "Rover" in pure.

Its a nice brush, but nothing to write home about. The pure brushes are typically entry-level Simpsons and my Rover is definitely less dense than any of my best or super Simpsons.

The Rover was quite skritchy to begin with and took a fair bit of time to break in - its not a bad brush, but it is one of the only Simpson brushes I sometimes consider selling...

I have a Simpson Special in Pure. I like it just fine. I do not think you could tell a difference between a pure and best grade.

No, this one is sort of sentimental - its the first Simpson brush I ever owned and it was actually replaced by Simpson when the knot came loose. Also, I'd just have a hard time selling an original Simpson.

While I didn't start out to be a Simpson fan, I do have 5, which is more than any other manufacturer...
