Simpson Persian Jar 3 Super vs Chubby's

Hello everyone! I had the great opportunity to try a Simpson 2 Band Persian Jar 3 in Super. I am wondering the difference between this brush and the Simpson Chubby's? Any experience here? Thank you!

I don't own both, but from the shape and dimensions:

Persian Jar: excels at bowl lathering due to larger handle and relative loft size.

Chubby: excels at face lathering due to shorter relative loft and handle size.

The Chubby might be slightly denser as well.

The PJ3 has a knot size between those of the Chubby1 and Chubby2 and somewhat more loft than the Chubbys. This results in a brush (mine is also 2-Band) which has reasonable backbone and good flow-through. The Chubbys are quite a bit more dense and have obviously smaller handles.

+1 I'd also add that the PJ handle is one of the most comfortable for either face or bowl lathering.

Which is "superior" is really an issue of personal preferences. I like & enjoy both in part because I like variety. While it doesn't bother me, many think the Chubby is a bit of a lather hog, and I'll acknowledge that the PJs have better flow. But the face feel of a Chubby in 3-band super is quite unlike most any other brush.
