Simpson Customer Service

After an e-mail to Simpson, they advised me to send in my PJ2 Best that had developed a shedding problem. This brush is ~2+ years old, only used around 50 times and started losing 5-10 hair each use. It was purchased off the BST forum, so no receipt. Two weeks after sending it to Simpson, I now have my brush returned with a new knot of best badger. Excellent customer service imho. Thought you guys should know. Regards, Bradley

Good to know. Did you tell them that the brush had been used 50+ times and was 2+ years old? That would really reflect well on them.

I had a similar experience, but with a brush that was essentially brand new. I had no receipt, either. I was told to send it to them, no questions asked. Within a couple weeks I had a new brush as well. Outstanding service!

That is really standing behind your product. Great that they have taken care of you- now enjoy your (new) brush!

I have a quick question and need your help. Which brush do you think is better, the Kent BK12 or the Simpsons Chubby CH3? Both of them are extremely expensive and I want to make sure that I pick the right one for my father. Thank you.

I always love to hear success stories involving customer service. Especially when they involve shedding brushes.

Kudos to Simpson. :thumbup1:

My current favorite brush company. They are open about their operations, appear to accept visitors, and back their products when vendors won't. I have also read they fixed problems for people that had older Somerset brushes. Just great!

This is great to hear! Thanks for posting!
Love it when vendors follow through and stand behind their products.

I recently contacted Progress/Vulfix about a Simpson question. They answered my question promptly and courteously.

When I sent Simpson the e-mail, it was explained that this brush was 2 1/2 years old and had just developed the shedding problem. It is in rotation with multiple other brushes. Thus, low mileage for its age. They said to send it in and they would examine and determine if it had a problem. The hair loss was aggravating me, so thought they could help and were willing. They are standing behind a product that the previous owner made. Kudos to the new Simpson.:thumbup:I sent them a thank you note, and didn't want to keep their quality customer service a secret. If you have a "Shedder", give them a chance to fix your problem brush. Regrads, Bradley

Bradley, I agree 100% with what you say. I wrote a review on their EXCELLENT customer service, too. If someone is interested, here is the link to my post "My love for Vulfix / Simpson": http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=153478
