simple question on a brush.

Hello, with a wooden turned handle shaving brush, do you have to be carefull, not to wet it all the time ? will it crack if it gets wet? thanks for a reply.

As long as you do not soak the whole brush but just the hair the wood should not crack with the normal water from lather making and cleaning of the brush.

Good to know. I have one wooden handle brush.

I try to keep mine dry. Wood and water don't mix.

so when I soak it I make sure the water level is well below the handle.

sometimes it gets wet or gets lather on it during the process of the shave; big deal. When I'm cleaning up I dry it and I store it outside the bathroom.

I use it every other day so it is always completely dry when it is used.

Does it have a varnish on it? If so, it will protect the brush. I always try to dry the brush as much as I can when I'm done.
