Side soup recipes?

The wife and I have become enamored of soups lately.
Does anyone have a nice recipe for a favorite side soup? Something thin, yet extremely tasty?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not a chef by any means, but you sound to me to be describing perfectly miso soup. Light, and yet very scrumptious. Ever considered it?

I like the Mexican soup that Rick Bayless does with his lamb barbacoa

I find it better with chicken...

+1 on the broccoli soup...

Funny about the chicken broth...

Extract of a conversation between me and my mom last year...

Me: I found that new brocoli soup recipe by Gordon Ramsay, very easy, very quick and you can make 1 bowl.

<off conversation> My Dad doesn't eat soup, he doesn't like it </off conversation>

Mom: Do you have Chicken broth in it?

Me: It's broccoli soup, not chicken-broccoli soup

Those all look good.
I've never tried miso, sounds good.
The mexican soup will likely be the first I try to make. Looks great (with chicken).
I better ask the wife if she'll try the broccoli, lol.
There is a local mexican place here that serves a soup appetizer. It's really thin, only stewed tomatoes and onions (that I can see). But it's really flavorful. I don't know what's in it, but it's great.
