Shigeki Tanaka is very well known and respected for making culinary knives. I assume his kamisoris are pretty good too. The ones I see available on the internet are Damascus clad blue paper steel. Blue paper steel is a very pure carbon steel made mostly for cutlery by the Hitachi company of Japan. White paper steel is basically just carbon and iron. Blue adds in a bit of tungsten and chromium. This increases edge retention. It's clad in Damascus material made of alternating layers of stainless and nickel. I have never used his razors but I have handled his knives. They are generally of excellent quality and relatively affordable.
