A little over a month ago I purchased the Muhle 102 Razor which has the same shaving head as the New R41. I was quickly schooled on how aggressive this new shaving head actually is. I agree it is a whole other beast when compared to other DE Razors. I have since discovered two things (1) This razor works better for me when I shave upwards ATG starting at my neck line. Using it that way for some reason gives me a great shave every time with little need for anything more than just a few touch ups. When I try and use the razor WTG, then XTG, I seem to get weepers and irritation. (2) Now that I have been using the Muhle 102, when I do use either my Parker 89r or my Fat Handle Gillette Tech I don't even worry about weepers or nicks. I just speed right on thru my shave as I don't even feel the blades edge like I do with the 102. I still get great shaves from these razors and I love using them, its just that sometimes it feels like I am shaving with a childs razor even when I load them with a Feather!

I understand what you mean about speeding through shaves, except that for me it's either my super speed or my new, although never with a feather. Those blades just irritate my face and neck.

I use to be very slow and careful when I shaved with either the Tech or my Parker razor, but after a month with the Muhle 102 that uses the R41 Razor Head...well shaving with the Tech and Parker is just very easy now and fast.
