Shaving the upper lip above a pencil-thin mustache?

I find my gillette DE too thick to reliably shave above my mustache. I can't see how a multiblade would be better. is there a electric that fits the bill?

I use a Merkur 907 mustache razor.

after reading some i realized i have a 1940s 3 pc frankengilette that is thinner than the TTOs i use. seems to be more aggressive because i've cut myself a couple times, but it does the job

Folks here have suggested using the DE sideways or in the opposite direction while stretching ou the skin above your upperlip.

I am trying right now but it requires some practice.

Check out one of the various models of a Philips Norelco OneBlade. I use one for trimming around my somewhat bushy goatee. It works well for trimming around the nose and lower lip.

Electric: Phillips one blade......
I second this answer so much! I've been using the phillips one blade for the last 4 years on my entire mustache area. I use it under my nose and around my lips, and am able to go in any direction with barely any irritation or nicks. Just don't press on it too hard and you'll have buttery smooth sailings, if you press to hard the cutting mechanisim can grab your skin and cut you ( this happened to me once recently as I was in a bit of a rush sadly, and it got my chin with a nice cut and some blood to show for my mistakes.) Use it wet or dry and it will be the perfect for what you're looking for!
