Shaving Soap/Cream list for those with sensitive skin

I have pretty sensitive skin when it comes to shaving soap/cream and I thought it would be good to compile a list of products that work and dont for others to narrow down the soap/cream options to try if they get irritation from some products. I know YMMV on everything but maybe we can find out what products are more mild on skin than others.

If you can add your experiences please do!

What works:
Proraso sensitive soap
Kiss My face unscented cream
Canned Goo (well it did)

What irritated:
Mitchells Wool Fat
Arko
Nivea cream
Mikes Barbershop soap

Still on the fence: VDH soap

Real Shaving Company makes a nice cream for sensative skin. Same base as AOS and the 3 Ts and it only costs about $5 a tube. I don't know how available it is in Canada, but it can be found in several drugstores in the USA.

My recommendation would be to compile a list in Wiki. We can create a category that says "Sensitive Skin Products" and under there you would have, Shave Creams, Shave Soaps, Aftershaves.

In the products that we have already in wiki, we would simply add "Sensitive Skin Aftershave" as a category (for an Aftershave) making it appear on the list automatically. On the product itself, we can then write a sensitive skin section to either link a thread where someone discuss the product vs sensitive skin on simply do a bit of text saying, bob tried it, it worked.

What do you reckon?

Luc I think that this is a great idea to permanently store the info in an easy to find place. I did see the after shave for sensitive skin wiki and to have a whole product category like this would serve many of wetshavers.

Where to begin?

I think that if there's a list that identify the products that are sensitive friendly, we could match them against wiki and simply add the categories. I can create the categories tonight when I get home.

Institut Karite shaving soap and La Toja shaving stick. Two of my all time favourites. IK is marketed as "extra gentle shaving soap". It's really terrific for sensitive skin - it has a high shea butter content.

For the money, you can't beat Taylor's (and yes, it is better than Proraso). I don't buy the whole sensitive skin schtick, although some scents have a slight of a track record for irritating folks skin. The Avocado has a great rep for not being a trouble maker.

The code to add to the pages in wiki is the following

[category]Sensitive Skin Products[/category]

then for each shave soap, shave cream and aftershave

[category]Sensitive Skin Shave Soap[/category]
[category]Sensitive Skin Shave Cream/category]
[category]Sensitive Skin Aftershave[/category]

Hi,
unscented soaps/products should be more suitable for sensitive skin. Everyone's skin is different and so everyone's sensitivity is different. If you know which ingredients is make you sensitive you can choose products without it. For example arko and wool fat are tallow based but i am not sure for others. You can list ingredients, so you may see same ingredient easily.
