Shaving Mustache Area ATG !! Scariest part of shaving - tips needed

There's several things you can do, like stretching the skin, using a thin, slick lather and keeping the blade angle more shallow.

Another idea is to use a different, mild razor for going ATG in the "muzzle" area. Something like the Gillette Tech or Razorock SLOC with a Feather blade. The SLOC is one of the best "buffing" razors I have found. It's actually pretty difficult to cut yourself with one.

Skin stretching, good lather and good blade angle are essential when atg shaving the mustache. Another technique that I have found useful is to shave off as much as possible during the xtg pass, even if it means making another pass. I have also found the both my Gillette Tech and my Flare Tip Rocket to be good atg shavers. I don't know about the other old Gillettes though, however I would expect them to have similar performance.
