Shavemac 177 hair loss

I've had my Shavemac 177 for almost two months. I seem to lose 1, and rarely 2, hairs with each shave. However, sometimes a week can go by with no hair loss at all. Is this normal? Will the brush "settle down" eventually? The brush is so nicely dense that the hair loss cannot be detected and I still get amazing lather from it. I have to say I love this brush. Of the three I have used, this is by far my favorite. Anyone who has this brush, what has been your experience with this problem? (Or, is it a problem at all?) Thanks.

Been using mine for a week with I think a single hair lost. I'll keep an eye on it (I've seen similar threads which suggest its normal for this brush and that it settles down). That said, if it continues profusely, suggest you contact the distributor for a replacement.

"Profusely" in this case is defined as whatever you feel comfortable with considering the $ you spent on that brush!

Thanks Chris,

As I say, sometimes a week can go by and no problem. Then it starts again. Also, I'm not hard on the brush. It is never rinsed in anything but warm water and it is always hung bristles down to dry.

How long have you had the brush? I recall a post not too long ago where a guy actually laid out the lost hairs one by one to ask if it was bad. The overwhelming responses were that it was normal as I recall, but if it continued, to seek Badger Brush assistance immediately!

I've had the brush for almost two months. I'd like to know where I can find the thread that you mention. And, no, I never thought to line up the hairs as they fell out.
