Shave Stick Holder?

I recently got a Valobra shave stick for traveling, and just need some kind of travel holder to put it in. Other than the plastic ones at Mama Bear's, anybody have any other suggestions?

Stop by your local drug store and ask for some pill bottles of sufficient size for them. Drill/knock some holes in the top and bottom and PRESTO!!

Mark,

That's a good idea. You know, I had heard that mentioned for brushes, but didn't know anybody had tried it for the shave sticks.

I did a write up across the street about this very thing.

I think the Valobra and Palmolive sticks are the same diameter.
If you ask your local pharmacist for a T-16 size pill bottle it's almost the perfect size.

Well another thing you can do, is get one of those BIG oversized glue sticks, inexpensive at this time of year, pull the glue out (or buy one for your kids and wait the WHOLE school year, like I did) and work your stick into it (your SHAVING stick). Heating the sticks a (just a little) will get them more malleable to shove in the empty glue stick.

I only use shaving sticks now, I think the method to get the lather on your face is the best to REALLY get it worked into the skin and beard. I'm finishing up my jar of Tabac, but will be buying in a stick form from now on.

Take'er easy!

You'll find lots of light weight vintage metal tubes on eBay. These held shaving sticks, brushes, etc. Not expensive.
