Shave Session?

I will have the opp. to get a traditional barber straight razor shave in my travels comming up soon. I guess, without wanting to admit it to myself, I have senstive skin. Just wondering has anyone with senstive skin had any problems with a barber shave? Or is it normally ok to go ahead and "just do it"?

It all depends of the barber. I've heard that many prefer to do a comfortable shave over a close shave, which may leave you with less than wonderful results. Others may shave you raw or dice your face up. It all depends on the barber. I'd feel it out before I'd let anybody near my face with a straight.

+1 It really does depend on the barber. I've got sensitive skin and have had a number of wonderful (and comfortable) BBS shaves from Suzanne at AOS in Las Vegas.
