I just bought a new shave bowl on the bay. Let me know what you think. I currently use a Sara Bowl. but for the price of $13. I thought I'd give this a try. I like the idea of the foldover as a brush rest. With the Sara bowl my brush always falls into the soap when I leave the brush in. The bowl is 4 1/2 across by 2 1/2 high, nice size. Made by Nana June. Nice and cheaper than the Sara bowl. Don't get me wrong I still love the Sara bowl.

The store name is nana junes naturals if you try to do a search on the bay. I'm not in this for anything, I just think its a nice design at a good price.
it is nice and practical
I like the bowl...does it hold very much lather? Just curious because I may pick one up but it looks really small. I wonder if she would make a bowl that's a tiny bit larger.

I think its deep enough, but I like my shave bowl on the smaller size, I think its easier to whip up lather. A standard size puck of shave soap fits in the bottom. This bowl seems to be a standard size.
I've seen that seller on Ebay. Have you tried her soaps?
I searched for "nana junes naturals" and "nana june" but neither works. (eBay's search is crock of sh*t anyway. It requires divine patience and perseverance to get that G-D site to give you proper search results.)

It's easier to do a search on e-bay by just searching shave bowl. Buy it now for $12.99
I have.........one scent only (Bay Rum). The soap I got from her was very good. It lathered easily, and was very lubricating. You can get a nice, stiff, hydrating lather very quickly. The scent was great. My entire bathroom smelled nice when I used it.
I haven't tried her stuff again because I have too many creams and soaps at the moment. There are a couple of other soap makers I want to try as well.
Give her stuff a shot. The soaps are small (maybe 3 oz), but they last quite a while.
EDIT: I looked at that bowl too, but I decided on using a latte mug that was lying in the basement instead.

I havent had a problem with the fold over getting in the way, I think it actually keeps more lather in the bowl.

Thanks so much for the kudos! Sorry for late reply. Checking out B&B this evening. I joined in June, but never had a chance to go online and look it over. I take care of my elderly dad, and his health has been really poor this summer, so my time has been very limited. He is in the hospital which sadly allows me extra time online. I had another B&B buyer this evening and decided to check it out!

I ddid have some that were larger and some that were even what I call "oversized". I can have my potter make one to your specific size and color.
