Sharp Stainless vs Sharp Durablade - Is there a difference?

Hello gents,

After trying different blades I think I've found the one in the Sharp Durablades seen here:

Obviously, the next step is to buy them in bulk, looking around I saw this a similarly named blade with different packaging:

Is there a difference between the two?

I'm sorry that I can't help you out on your question but I find it interesting how two people can have such different experiences with the same blade. I had a box of the first blades pictured. You've determined that these are going to be your go-to blade and in my experience, they were one of the worst blades I ever tried. I'm surprised I even finished a full shave the first time I tried them. They pulled, they tugged, they skipped. It was a lousy, uncomfortable shave. Thinking I got a bum blade, I tried another. I don't think I got more than 2-3 strokes into the shave before I quit and pitched the blade for a different brand. I happily was able to trade the rest of them for blades I could use. This is a good example of how YMMV with a blade.

I don't think that there's a lot of experience with Sharps out there.

When I started wet shaving I ordered 100 Sharp Stainless blades and found them okay. Later when I started digging into B&B, I found a number of negative reviews which probably sealed the deal for most potential buyers.

Tell me about it. That's why I at least finish all the blades in a sampler pack to see if it was the blade or something I did. But so far, with my poor lathers, the Sharp Hi Chromium was sharp enough while being smooth. Astra's are a close second, just wish it was a wee bit sharper (don't ask me how that's possible, it just... happened).
