Shark Super Chrome & Shark Stainless same blade?

Toothpick

Hey folks,

need some quick help identifying Shark blades

As part of TGBE I have Shark Super Chrome and Shark Super Stainless

I opened a pack of Shark Super Chrome and they were in the same yellow wrapper that all the Shark Super stainless come in.

so my question is.....Are shark super chrome and shark super stainless the same blades??

Hi Jason,
I can't say for sure, but I feel they are or at least were different.

I had few samples in the past of both Super Chrome and Stainless Steel Sharks. They were both in the yellow wrappers. I comparison shaved two blades each. IMHO the Chromes were a bit smoother and seemed to be sharper longer. I do have to add the inevitable YMMV.

ok well I posted this in haste, I figured it out....I think.

There are super chrome in both white and yellow wrappers. The super chrome are a dull yellow, while the super stainless is a brighter yellow.

I had to open a few blades to figure it out and it is printed on the blades "super chrome" or "super stainless"

silly me!

I'm looking at my Super Stainless now, and they are in Yellow wrappers.
Box says "Made in Egypt".

Hope that helps!

I quite liked the stainless Sharks but didn't get on with the chrome version that I found rough, so I'm pretty sure they are different.

Cheers, Paul

In my experience they are not the same. I have Shark SC with white/blue wrapper that are excellent. I have Shark SC in yellow/red wrapper that are very bad. I tried Shark SS and I don't like them at all, and consider them very different from SC white/blue wrapper blades. It is possible Shark blades suffer from poor QC and they are not consistent. At least in my experience.

...Shark SC's used to be my 'go-to' blade, but the blades were having some quality control issues (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...s-have-

changed
), so a while back I thought I might try a new blade...and Russian

Voskhod blades are now my one & only 'go-to' blade.

Who knows for sure. What might be true last month at the Shark factory in Egypt, may not be true this month. But if forced for an answer, I'd say "probably."
