Share your experience - sending defective brush back to simpsons

I just wanted to gauge
a. How many people have had to send in their defective brush
b. what wast he reason for sending
c. What was the outcome
d. Did you have to pay for return shipping?
e. Did you deal with the vendor or simpsons directly?

I contacted Simpson about a shedder that started to become a problem ~2 years after purchase. Probably hadn't used it more than 20 times due to rotation of many brushes. I was asked to send it to them for an eval. It was returned to me with a new knot in the original handle. Only cost was the postage to them. Very pleased and impressed with their customer service. I now have fifteen of their brushes and every one has been top notch. I need to buy a shedder from them so I will stop collecting their brushes but, so far, they refuse to oblige. I will keep trying as funds permit.
