Separated at birth? Lord Platinum / Super Stainless

I ordered some Lord Platinum blades from Phil (Bullgoose) several weeks ago and finally broke one out. Not a great shave. The Lord Platinum was my first ever DE blade. Derby was my second. Needless to say, the Lord seemed wonderful in comparison. Anyway, this "platinum" blade says "Super Stainless."

Do I have inferior Super Stainless in a Platinum wrapper? I'm hoping someone has a Lord Platinum blade and can tell me what it should look like.
Thanks!

I don't think the employees at Lord's factory understand anything about the different names they are giving to their blades.
I personally think they set up their equipment so each individual blade gets a different wrapping.

I noticed the same thing with my Lord-branded blades when I got my sample pack. Some of them were incorrectly marked.

Although I personally found that every single one of them were disappointing. All of the Lord branded ones, Shark, ASCO, Big Ben, Crown, etc etc. I didn't like any of them. Way too rough for me. Threw the remainders in the blade-bin.

Not something I would want to buy either if I don't even know what I'm getting. But then, I find them all exactly the same anyway. I know blades don't visually look very unique but all of the Lord-made blades I had looked EXACTLY the same. Some didn't even have the inner wax-paper layer inside their wrappers so I nearly sliced myself when opening them.

Did the blade feel different? I wonder if Lord does just slap different labels on them. I found almost no difference between platinum and super chrome. I do wonder if it is all the same with different labeling. I also thought the same about Personna Red and Crystal. I just couldn't tell the difference and they are made in the same factory. Ditto to Gillette 7 o'clock SS (Russian Green) and Astra. Add shark SS and Shark SC, I didn't see much difference. I am thinking this is like the difference between a 5 and 10 year whiskey made by the same company. Often there is very little difference.

I ordered 100 Lord Platinum because I was impressed by Lord Super Stainless. A really good blade. And I thought if SS is good, Platinum should be better... What a vital error! They are labelled with "Super Stainless" on the blade and where awful in my Futur and Adjustable Slim. Only with my Ibsen slant bar I get pleasing shaves.

My Lord Platinum say Super Stainless on the blade. I've never used the Lord Super Stainless brand, so I don't know what that blade looks like. It would be helpful if someone posted a picture of the Lord Super Stainless blade, so we could compare.

All I know is that my nostalgic memories of my first ever DE shave with a Lord Platinum do not match my recent experience. The blade was merely OK, with slight tugging. Still better than Derby, but not as good as my ol' faithful Astra SP.

It was my understanding that the Lord Platinum blade was the Lord Stainless Steel blade with a platinum coating. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I looked at some prior threads on the issue and this seems to be the prevailing view. One of the threads has a picture of the PC and the SS next to each other and they look identical. Now I wonder if the Lord Super Chrome is also the SS with a chrome plating.

I think all three (plat, SS, SC) are the same blade, packaged differently. I like them. Sharks (SS,SC) come from the same factory, and are similar. All good, in my book
