I see the Senator and Ranger Tech confused frequently, as if they were the same or quite similar. But isn't the Senator open comb and the Ranger Tech a solid bar? Am I missing something?

You are right: the 1938 Senator is an open comb, the 1941 Ranger Tech is an solid guard bar razor.
And that kids, is why he is called MISTER Razor.
Achim, I guess the Senator is simply a silver Sheraton, but can you give the kids a breakdown on the essential differences between the Ranger and a normal SS from the post-war period? Was the Ranger an early version of what became the NDC Super Speeds?

Generally the Senator and the Regent Tech are mentioned as being the same. They are not. I don't recall confusion with the Ranger Tech.
