Semogue: SOC or 1305?

Currently have an Omega 11126 and 80005 and am looking to expand my horizons by working my way into the Semogue line: so Semogue Owner's Club or the 1305? Or maybe some opinions on other Semogue brushes?

The 1305 is my main brush. I have a Rooney 3/1 Super that just sits on the counter and looks enviously at my boar.

Nice plan.

Maybe size could be the decisive factor?
If the SOC is like the Limited 2009, it is a lot bigger.

so, if you prefer a full size, the SOC.
A tad smaller and manageable, the 1305.

+1 I love the SOC but as I face lather and the tall loft makes for a big feel on the face for a 24mm. That said the bristles on it are fantastic, much better than any Omega I have owned.

The Omega 11126, 10066 and -05's use the same knot, and are my favorites, boar or badger. I own several Semogues, including the SOC and 2000, and my favorite is one that doesn't get mentioned much, the 1250. It's a great, scubby little brush.

+1.
I have to confess:blush: A few months back.....I had a good pay cheque so I fed my shaving brush 'habit'. At the moment .....I have 8 Semogue boar brushes.:blush:. Because it takes time to break them in......I currently only use 3 of them. The 2000, 830 and the 1250.

I keep going back to the 1250.

I like the 1800, 1305, and 1250. Each one has its own personality though. They are not the same even though they look similar! SOC for me seems to hold lather too close to the handle, probably a me thing. 620 is too short loft for me. Too scritchy I think is the word I've seen used. Omega 31064 works well as does my 49. Tweezerman and omega pure work well but boars get used more often.

The SOC has great bristles, they go really soft and it's a super dense brush, but I think too big for some face latherers. It swallows my whole face.

I find the 1305 a much better size, and doesn't lose its backbone.

Can't speak to the 1305, but I have an SOC, and after maybe 40 lather cycles, it is broken in nicely. Someone made a comparison of this brush to a slivertip badger, and I can relate to that. It's a GREAT brush, soft enough to be called luxurious. It is a BIT large, but not enough to be a problem. It is my go to brush for MWF, and it worked GREAT when newer, but has become a bit too soft.
