Canon A710IS, the best camera I could own!

I'm so glad our Government preserved this area. When I was a kid living in the Innerarity Point area, all of the beach along Gulf Beach Highway looked like this. Now, anything outside of the preserve, is all big money. You can't see the beach from most of Gulf Beach Highway anymore.

I spent many weekends at South Padre and then, later, at Surfside. I recall the original appearance. When I went, there were no digital cameras, of course (1960s to 1990s). These days, I have cameras that bookend the 710, with a G6 and A530 below it, chronologically, and an A1200 above it. My vision correction makes the "usual" LCD as a viewfinder option inconvenient. I like the optical viewfinders.

Hmm? The thread is somewhat on the elderly side, perhaps the passage of time will mean that you have moved on by now . .

Still using a 7 Megapixel pocket camera?

Still using that 710IS. Darn thing hasn't broken and it's been plenty of places. It's getting about time though...
