SCS Mediterranean Citrus AS splash

Today, I used the SCS Mediterranean Citrus AS splash for the first time. Another great product from SCS. I have mild to moderate oily skin, and I was concerned about the fact that it has castor oil in it. Not reason to worry, as it fit perfectly with my post shave routine. I use an alum block right after the shave, which I let dry for 2 minutes. A cold water rinse, and then I pat my face dry. This is followed by a Thayers splash which I also let dry. Finally, the SCS Mediterranean Citrus AS splash.

While it felt a little oily going on, it dried to a very nice smooth finish. The fragrance is interesting too, as I did not love it in the bottle. Yet, after it dried, I found that every few minutes or so, for about an hour, that I was getting a nice citrus scent. It dried to a nice feel, not tacky or greasy, but comforting. My skin felt great.

I purchased 3 AS balms and splashes from SCS-SCS Mediterranean Citrus AS splash, Avocado Oil balm, and the lavender calendula balm, which I will try tomorrow. So far, two for two. I think that SCS will get a nice order from me in the future. Great products at very fair prices. I think if they had some old English or French name, they could sell their stuff for a lot more.

I agree with not liking it from the bottle. I initially disliked the samples I bought from SCS, but now I find myself with the Med Citrus, Sandalwood and Lavender splashes. And I'm waiting for them to get back from vacation so I can buy some more of their products!

SHHH! So far we can get Sue's products at GREAT prices!
Seriously, I am lovin' my samples, will definitely place an order for the full size bottles. The Nutriment ASM is really good too, Compliments the Med. Citrus nicely!

Just received a bottle of this in the mail today. I plan on pairing this with Harris Arlington soap tomorrow. :thumbup1:

I seem to be the only person the not favor this AS. I should try it again at some point. I was less than impressed with the scent or lack there of. The healing and soothing characteristics were nice though. It just seemed like I was splashing Absolut Citron on my face. This is a YMMV statement only...... A nice heavy blend of Lemon, lime(key lime), orange, and maybe a hint of bergamot would make this splash "Da bomb"

That's a fair assumption if you're not a fan. One thing I would recommend is to use it sparingly as it says. I little goes a ways and so does the scent. I had the same issue with the Savory Rose from them but a few splashes and it has the great healing properties and very nice smell and has come to be a favorite.
